Jazz Hayes

Hello! My name is Jazz, pronouns they/them/theirs. I am a current sophomore at UCSB majoring in Dance. I grew up in theaters watching my parents in plays and musicals while performing in my own plays and concerts. I greatly admired and appreciated the process of storytelling and when I was introduced to choreography and given the opportunity to tell my own stories, I fell in love with the process of creation. Through choreography, I want to pave the way for other non-binary dancers and choreographers to explore and feel comfortable in their art. This course enabled me to learn a new way of creating and sharing stories outside of a live performance. It brought new ideas and a full world of possibilities. I really enjoyed spending the time to create and edit each video.
